The CFP® exam is for the financial industry what the bar is for the legal industry. Being a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER (CFP®) is largely considered the highest standard in financial planning.
Brandon Grocki joined Total Financial Concepts, Inc in 2018, and he currently assists with day-to-day operations of investments and client accounts. Advancing his career and knowledge was an important goal for Brandon, one that we were happy to support!
In combination with his 8 years of experience in practice, Brandon has also gone through hours of studying and preparation including seven (7) pre-requisite courses on separate financial planning topics before sitting for the CFP® board exam in July of 2022.
It’s our honor to announce that Brandon Grocki passed the CFP® board exam and is now a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER®.
ABOUT THE CFP® EXAM
There are strict requirements to even be considered to take the CFP® exam. Offered only a few times a year, the exam is a computerized six hour, 170-question exam designed to test a professional’s ability to apply a range of financial planning knowledge in real life situations. Certified Financial Planners® are required to maintain their certification, too. It’s not a “one and done” designation. Read more about the stringent requirements of the CFP® board examhere.
HOW MANY CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNERS ARE THERE?
Of the approximately 270,000 financial advisors in the U.S., only 83,000 are CFPs. [source: USnews.com]
At Total Financial Concepts, INC. we are proud to already have one (1) existing CFP professional: Todd J. Jakubik, CFP®. Now, with Brandon’s certification that makes 2 CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PROFESSIONALS® on the Total Financial Concepts, Inc. team!
